Job Summary

The Project Superintendent oversees all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical expertise to coordinate subcontractors, manage site operations, and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage the overall project schedule, including identifying critical path activities and expediting materials and equipment.
  • Implement and enforce the site safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee daily field operations including scheduling, logistics, quality control, and workforce coordination.
  • Promote seamless coordination among all trades to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Act as the liaison for all required inspections and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage General Conditions and General Requirements to maintain project budget.
  • Oversee the billing process, including work-in-place verification, monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Ensure all work is installed according to approved plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating/Preconstruction Team on scheduling, logistics, safety planning, constructability reviews, and project requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of commercial construction experience, with strong background in interior renovations, commercial upfits, and MEP system installation.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, and project planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and effective communicator.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Experience working in occupied spaces.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Procore.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • OSHA training required.
